ALDAS
ALDAS is built to detect even the smallest leaks in real-time, ensuring rapid intervention and minimizing the potential for expensive repairs or interruptions to business operations. The early detection system also helps avoid secondary damages like mold growth, compromised electrical systems like lifts, or structural weakening.
ALDAS uses LoRaWAN, a secure, long-range wireless communication protocol ideal for environments where traditional WiFi signals may be disrupted.

The sensors, strategically placed in high-risk areas of the facilities’ management choice, detect the presence of water and send alerts through the LoRaWAN network to ALDAS.
This is a picture of the water detecting sensor, the water detecting devices, and the QR code for registering. The alerts are transmitted to the ALDAS dashboard and can also be transmitted to the building’s management system. Notifications are also sent via SMS to registered phone numbers.

A detailed explanation on how ALDAS works, and all technical details can be found in this overview, and this fact sheet summarizes the main points. ALDAS has been implemented in towers in Marina and is running successfully since the beginning of 2025. Tours can be booked to see ALDAS in action, please contact us.

ALDAS V2
Unattended water leaks may have many different reasons - a new version of ALDAS is currently in development to address leakages from flats, e.g. if a washing machine fails. In such situation, the detection should be happening in the lift lobby. The challenge with this situation is the cleaning regularly happening in such areas. AIDirections is currently developing such a solution, it should be ready for implementation in Q4 of 2025. Please contact us for more information.

Chiller Riser Pipes
Another source of leakage are the chiller riser pipes, which can crack or burst, causing serious floods. AIDirections is in the process of developing a solution detection water coming from chiller riser pipes, and this will be integrated with the ALDAS backbone to use the communication and alarming functions. This is work in progress, if you wish to know more, please contact us.
